Personal data and the purpose of their processing

If you wish to receive content from the company OSI (invitations to events, information about OSI products and services), you must fill out the contact form on the OSI website. By filling in the form and submitting it to OSI, you provide the following information about yourself:

first name, last name, company where you are employed and e-mail address.

The company OSI respects your privacy and acts carefully in the collection, storage and processing of your personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data. As there are certain links in the online information system of the company OSI to other, external websites, which are not directly connected to the company OSI, we do not assume any responsibility for the protection of data on these websites.

In order to prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of the data received, to maintain the accuracy of personal data and to ensure their appropriate use, the company OSI implements appropriate technical and organizational procedures to protect the data collected.

Consent to processing and purpose of data processing

The personal data you provide to us in the completed form will be processed at OSI based on your consent pursuant to Article 6.1(a) of the GDPR.

We need the data you provide to process your question/inquiry/order, to invite you to events that OSI organizes independently or jointly with others, and to communicate with you about OSI products and services.

In order to improve the quality of our products and services, OSI also processes data about the display of received messages and clicks on links in received messages statistically in relation to the electronic messages sent to you.

You give your consent to the processing of personal data concerning you by clicking on the "Send" button below the contact form on the OSI website. You may withdraw or revoke your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to the address info@osi.si. In the event of a withdrawal or revocation of consent to the processing of data relating to you, we will cease processing the data you have provided for the purposes for which it was collected. The withdrawal or revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data in the period prior to the withdrawal or revocation of consent.

Websites of the company OSI

When you visit our website, the company OSI automatically collects the following device data and other log data:

  • date and time of each visit to the website,

  • type of device (e.g. smartphone or tablet or PC),

  • the version of the operating system (e.g. Windows 11),

  • the hardware platform of your device (e.g. x86 or ARM),

  • the manufacturer of your device (e.g. Samsung),

  • the model of your device (e.g. Galaxy S2),

  • model, version and mechanism of your internet browser (e.g. Google Chrome 22)

  • address(es) of all websites visited,

  • your IP address,

  • a unique device fingerprint, calculated on the basis of the data listed above, which allows us to determine that it is a unique visit to the website.

When you enter and confirm your personal data on our website, such as first and last name, e-mail address, contact phone number, communication client ID, etc., we will match all your past events (listed above) based on the previously calculated unique fingerprint of your device and link them to your personal data so that we can identify which websites you have visited based on the parameters from the list above. All future visits to websites will also be linked to your personal data, unless you do not want this (see part Your rights).

From the moment you confirm the entry of your personal data, all previously collected anonymous data listed above will also be considered personal data.

Your rights

According to the provisions of the GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure ("to be forgotten"), the right to portability, the right to request the restriction of the processing of personal data and the right to object.

You can contact us at any time to exercise your rights or to obtain further information at the following email address info@osi.si. We will process and respond to your request in accordance with the GDPR.

If you believe that your rights or the personal data protection rules have been violated in connection with the processing of your personal data, you may file a complaint with the competent state authority, which is:

Retention period for personal data

The company OSI stores your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose of processing.

The retention period for personal data may vary depending on applicable regional laws (e.g. laws in the field of taxes, accounting). In the event that applicable regional laws provide for mandatory periods for the storage of personal data, the company OSI will delete personal data after the legally required retention period has expired.
